🌿 Explore natural textures and create expressive rubbings through nature-inspired printmaking

Join artist Olga Ziemska for a unique, hands-on workshop that blends art and nature through the tactile process of nature printmaking. Using artist-grade charcoal and large sheets of paper, participants will capture the textures of bark, leaves, stones, and other natural surfaces found in the forest.

This workshop is perfect for artists, nature lovers, or anyone curious about creating art outdoors—no experience necessary!

WHAT YOU’LL CREATE

We’ll begin at Olga Ziemska Studio with a short slideshow presentation exploring inspiring examples of artists working with natural textures and materials. Then, we’ll travel together to a nearby forest park to experiment with rubbing techniques on large-format paper using artist charcoal.

🔹 Nature-Based Printmaking: Capture the subtle details of trees, leaves, bark, and ground textures using direct contact techniques
🔹 Creative Exploration: Discover new ways of seeing and engaging with the forest through tactile mark-making
🔹 Take-Home Artwork: You’ll leave with your own large-format charcoal rubbings—ready to frame, display, or use as inspiration in future creative projects
